How to Get the Best Price on Cabinets (at Hopewell Cabinets or Anywhere)

Here's something most cabinet sellers won't put in writing: the price on the website usually isn't the best price you can get. That's true at Hopewell Cabinets, and it's true at most places you'll shop for cabinets, online or down the street.

It's not a trick. A website price has to work for every customer in every zip code, whether they're buying one filler strip or a whole house. Your project isn't every project. Once we know where it's going and what's in it, there's almost always room to do better.

So here's the soft part, said out loud.

It starts with prices that are already low

We keep everyday prices low on every line we carry. When we run a sale, the savings are real. We don't mark things up just to mark them back down. And when a manufacturer gives us a deal, we pass all of it on. That's where the big promotions come from, like a whole color line going on sale.

Why the best price isn't on the website

Cabinet manufacturers set a minimum price that dealers are allowed to advertise. The prices on our site are already the lowest our manufacturers let us show. Every authorized dealer plays by the same rules, which is why the same cabinet tends to land at about the same price everywhere online.

A quote is different. It's private, it's built for one project going to one address, and that gives us room to go below the posted price.

Where the extra discount comes from

We'll discount any quote, or any free 3D design with a quote, based on two things: where it's going and how much is in it.

Location

Our cabinets ship straight from manufacturer warehouses around the country. If your project is close to one, it costs a lot less to get the cabinets to you. That saving doesn't stay with us. It turns into a bigger discount on your quote. Same cabinets, same quality, shorter truck ride.

Volume

Plain old supply and demand. A full kitchen moves a lot more boxes in one shipment than a single vanity does. Freight, handling and paperwork per cabinet go down, and manufacturers reward volume. We pass that along. A kitchen plus two bathrooms gets a better number than one cabinet, and contractors running several jobs get a better number still.

A design helps too

Our free 3D designs come with a quote, and every one gets reviewed for discounts. A design also catches the fillers, panels and molding people forget, so the price doesn't creep up after you order.

Shipping: ask before you panic

Most cabinet orders ship LTL freight, which is a shared truck that delivers to your curb. LTL isn't cheap. Even a small order costs about $200 or more to ship. Our flat shipping rates start at $179, so on most orders under $3,000 you pay less than the freight actually costs us. Over $3,000, shipping is free and we cover all of it.

Small orders are the exception. A couple of fillers, a panel or a single cabinet can trip the freight minimum, and the shipping charge looks silly next to what's in the cart. A lot of those can go ground instead, for much less. The cart can't figure that out. We can. If shipping looks high, contact us before you check out and we'll quote ground shipping for free.

Worst case, the price stays the same. Most of the time, it doesn't.
